COTIGNAC

The local village of Cotignac is a 7 minute drive down the hill (just close enough to nip down and pick up some fresh croissants and baguettes for breakfast). Cotignac is a pretty and vibrant village with an active life all year round.  There is a bustling weekly market and many cultural events throughout the year but especially in July and August  with the 'Rosé Festival', Bastille Day party, and the Festival du Rocher.  There is little time to get bored. The village is also steeped in history dating back to the time of the Troglodytes who built their houses in the cliffs which now form the backdrop of the village and can be visited (for those who do not suffer from vertigo...)
